Does hot taste authentic Italian, it is more of a typical Italian-American restaurant with Italian dishes reinterpreted from an American point of view

I had the chicken parmigiano pasta which was delicious. As a starter I had the calamari, a huge portion which I liked. Not only the classic calamari were in there, but also tiny whole squid. We didnt have a reservation and could walk right in. The staff was very attentive and eager to deliver good service.

We loved our dinner here. My husband and I are on our honeymoon and have been to many italian restaurants across the country and would say this is now one of our favorites. We will definitely be back. I had the fettuccine and he had the ravioli florentine and both were amazing. This is just a guess but everything seemed very fresh, and the pasta made from scratch. I suggest making reservations. We came a little late and still waited 30 minutes to be seated (we did not have a reservation).

Delicious food. Very slow to receive our food. The appetizer took a long time to arrive at the table and the main course even longer. The gentleman working the door and seating people was surly and unfriendly. The wait staff somewhat made up for his poor attitude. If I were to rate the place just in his attitude, I would give it a 1 star but I bump it up to a 3 because of the food.

One of my very favorite Italian restaurants I. San Francisco. Great salads, baked bread, appetizers...excellent wine selections. My favorite is the Butternut Squash Ravioli...yummy! Always worth a stop.

Excellent Italian! Go right when they open. Bet Italian I’ve ever had. Shocking this doesn’t have 5 stars. Very cozy little restaurant. I could hear them freshly making my order. The peas with my Linguine Carbonara were NEXT LEVEL. I will come back, no doubt.

This hidden gem on Sutter Street is a must stop eatery. There are 3 lunch specials to choose from and the best thing is you can't go wrong with any of them! At $15 each they are a steal for the flavor that is included.

My wife and I did dinner here while we were in the city for a weekend. It was fantastic. Very small dining room, nice and intimate. The caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella was VERY good. We shared the capellini pomodoro, which was also excellent. Flourless chocolate cake for dessert was rich and decadent and delicious.

Dinner was decent, not disappointing but not rave worthy. I had the special of NY strip and fettuccine, which was good but steak was well done, I prefer medium rare, still tasty though. As for the fettuccine, I admit I am spoiled as my boyfriend makes an amazing fettuccine alfredo, so it's hard to compete. My boyfriend had spaghetti and meatballs, he gets meatballs everywhere and said these were very good. Service was very good, staff very friendly, which bumped the rating from a 3 to a 4. Good service is important, and the restaurant was busy.

We weren’t asked about the quality of our food at the restaurant, so here we go. The Meat Lasagna was tasteless and, though I couldn’t confirm this because our waitress was nowhere to be seen, seemed to be reheated from frozen. It also had a very unappetizing quantity of cheese caked on top. Pretty gross. The Seafood Linguine was average. Like the lasagna, the seafood seemed likely to be frozen. We’re surprised this restaurant has so many good reviews. We won’t be back.
